New England Patriots Schedule

As baseball winds down and the Red Sox season comes to an end, folks in the area turn their attention to the New England Patriots schedule. Sports fans in Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire and all of the New England states have really grown to appreciate their football franchise in recent years, and it all starts with that annual first look at the upcoming season's slate of NFL games. A careful review and analysis often brings more questions than answers. Where and when do the Pats open the year? Who will their face first? When will the first game at Gillette Stadium be? During which weeks will all of the games against the team's AFC East division rivals from Buffalo, Miami and New York occur? Can they make the playoffs or, better yet, win it all again this year? Of course, no one can say for certain, but that doesn't stop fans from trying anyway!

2005 New England Patriots Schedule

Last season, the New England Patriots schedule was very kind to the club, as they went 14-2 and wound up winning the Super Bowl. This season, the opened with a September 8 game against the Oakland Raiders before facing the Carolina Panthers, Pittsburgh Steelers, San Diego Chargers and Atlanta Falcons in ensuing weeks. They were hit hard by injuries and went 3-2 in those games, but are looking to rebound and win a third-straight AFC East title. Next up are the Denver Broncos, followed by a bye week and then a pair of hoe games against the Bills and the Colts. After that, they face the Dolphins, Saints and Chiefs to close out the month of November and then the Jets twice and the Bills and Bucs once in December. The season finale will be on January 1, 2008, as Miami comes to Gillette Stadium for a New Year's Day game.
